Closet Organizer

Hiring a closet organizer costs between $150 and $250 for 1 to 2.5 hours.  While some might only pay around $50 for a part-time organizer or a friend to help with a small closet, others may invest thousands in custom storage solutions. A professional closet organizer can help you sort and arrange clothes, shoes, and other items, and you might get a discount if you have multiple closets organized at once. Be sure to ask potential organizers about their pricing and services to find the fit for your needs.

Room Organizer

Organizing a single room, excluding the kitchen, typically costs $200 to $300 for 2 to 3 hours, depending on the organizer’s hourly rate and minimum service requirements. A professional organizer can clean, declutter, and rearrange any room, with living rooms and bedrooms being the most common. They can advise on better space utilization, implement design principles like Feng Shui, and provide tips to maintain cleanliness and organization. Costs may increase if the room requires deep cleaning or handling of hazardous waste. See the section on hoarding organizers for more information.

Kitchen Organizer

Hiring an organizer to assist with kitchen organization usually costs between $250 and $400 for 2 to 4 hours. Regular customers receive a 10% discount. A typical session includes organizing cabinets, cleaning and arranging the pantry, and organizing the refrigerator for improved daily use. Some organizers also offer meal prep, shopping list creation, grocery shopping, budgeting, and couponing services. Depending on your needs, you might require additional hours, which can increase costs. If the organizer doesn’t have a 3-hour minimum or offers lower rates, you might get this service for less.

Garage Organizer

In-depth garage organization costs between $1,000 and $2,500 for 4 to 6 hours.  This service can involve setting up storage, organizing tools and toys, and creating space for cars. Since garages are often neglected, hiring a professional organizer in this space can be very beneficial.

Whole House Organizer

Hiring a professional organizer for a whole-house project typically costs around $1,500 for a 1,200 sq. ft. home with moderate clutter in three or more rooms. For larger homes or more serious organizational needs, costs can exceed $5,000, though this is less common. Whole-house organizations often include discounts compared to room-by-room services and offer tips and insights on improving household management and maintaining organization in the future.

Package Deals

Consider a 3-hour package deal, costing between $400 and $500 for a customized solution. This allows for tailored organizing sessions to fit your specific needs and can be a cost-effective way to tackle multiple areas.
